Emily Skye is an award winning director and cinematographer, who shot her debut feature, River (released July 13th 2021 by Gravitas Ventures), which she filmed September 2020, during the pandemic. She won over 15 awards for her short film of River, filmed May 2020, currently on DUST with over 3.3 million views.

 

Seeing the need within the filmmaking community on social media and using her following to give back, Emily became a mentor, coaching women and men in film, soon branching out and created a tribe called #shefilmtribe on Instagram. This is a safe place for women to come together, encourage, love and talk. Women from all over the world in the industry have joined the sisterhood as well as her Filmmaking 101 classes.

 

Emily is also a Global Brand Ambassador for LUMIX Panasonic, SmallHD, Wooden Camera and Teradek. She also has partnered with RED on multiple projects, speaking at their REDucations.
